Car travel does not come naturally to your cat, so take her on short rides until she is used to the experience. Make sure she's always in a suitable travel carrier and if you are planning a journey abroad, check your pet insurance covers the trip. Most airlines will carry cats but insist on a lockable cat carrier, which they may to hire to you. Generally your cat will be placed in a separate section of the aircraft

and always line it with a blanket and newspaper. Ensure you secure the carrier
in the car with a seat belt. Like some people, cats can suffer from
car-sickness, so avoid feeding just before a journey.
